Privacy at the Kettle

Your Details Stay With You — We Like the Counter Personal

This page explains, in plain porch-swing English, what this showcase remembers, what it never asks for, and how you can wipe the slate clean in ten seconds.

The Short Pour

Copper Kettle Confections is a brand showcase and heritage catalog for our hand-poured harvest candies. We do not operate accounts, membership programs, newsletters, quizzes, or checkout forms on this site. When you visit, the only thing we keep is a single preference flag stored locally on your own device.

What This Site Stores

  • One browser-local key named harvestfair-consent-v1, saved in your device’s local storage when you tap “Save My Preferences.”
  • That key remembers only that you chose to save — or dismissed — the display and flavor-match preference card, so we do not show it to you again on every visit.
  • No name, email address, mailing address, telephone number, purchase history, or precise location is written to that key.

What This Site Never Collects

  • Payment card numbers, bank details, wallet credentials, or billing addresses.
  • Government identifiers, health details, or profile information of any kind.
  • Cross-site advertising profiles or fingerprinting data — our pages are plain, readable HTML and contain no analytics beacons.

How Long Preferences Are Kept

The preference key lives in your browser until you clear it. Clearing your browser’s site data, or tapping the delete option in your browser’s storage settings for this site, removes it completely. We keep no server-side copy, because there is no account system behind it.

Your Rights and Choices

You may inspect, export, or erase the preference key at any time through your browser’s privacy controls. Visitors in Illinois and elsewhere in the United States may also write to us with privacy questions; we respond personally within a few business days.

Children’s Privacy

This showcase is intended for grown-ups browsing nostalgic candy and gift tins. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13, and because the site collects nothing beyond a local preference flag, there is nothing child-specific stored on our side to protect.

Changes to This Note

If our practices change — for example, if we someday pour an online tasting-club list — we will update this page and revise the date at the top before the change goes live.
